This place I've named, Hoavnport*. Its name is part 'haven' in an alternate spelling and 'port'. This is playing on the fact that many places which got resettled by another people who spoke different languages, often reused the original names which lost its meaning and adding to that from their own language, creating a fusion.* Hoavnport is a small to medium size town built around a port. Two towers dominate the entrance to its docking area. To the town's west is a stream, to the North the sea, to the East is the mouth of the Redbrook river. South is the road leading to Eekford. In my story Hoavnport is a vassal of the city of Heartsborough. It is not permited a military force and has to rely on the larger city for protection. Hoavnporters have, over time, garnered significant political might in heartsborough. Due to circumstances in the southern part of the region, crops from this region have to be transported through Hoavnport to the city of Heartsborough. The city itself boasts underground storage, with entrance at the docks, connected to the larger house on the surface, where there is also a mage tower. A clocktower. A herbalist. Boatmakers. Fishers. Inn. Bakery, very talented barber and another house.
