It's always been said, in tales of old, that the original town of Carterhaugh was engulfed by an avalanche and buried, and the town we now know as Carterhaugh was erected on top of the remains. No-one has ever proven this, as those who have set off in search rarely return.

One did, though. Wild-eyed Fanty left when he was a teenager in search of fame and fortune, and returned seven years later; hair completely white, eyes never blinking, muttering to all nearby 'click click click CLICK CLICK (it comes!)'.
