Capital
Vahl D’Sara
Across the Sea of Silver Bones is the kingdom of Etheria, home to the dark fae.
Unlike Aetarus, their continent remains untouched by draconic corruption, with huge spans of fertile land and dense forests. The largest is the Starfell Forest, which covers most of Etheria. It holds primeval trees with leaves that gleam like emeralds and bark embedded with flecks of crystal. Even during the day, the forest is unnaturally dark with only trees themselves providing light from their crystalline pieces.
Through the only known pass within the Moonfell mountains is the dark fae’s capital city, Vahl D’Sara. Only the highest nobility live there, along with the High Priestess and her council. The city is near impenetrable, as it sits upon floating islands with massive waterfalls only accessible by flight.
Kalinor is the main trading city for all races and sits upon a large island in the middle of the Gilt Lake. The human seafaring factions travel to it by ship through deep rivers, along with Aetarus trading ships. The other races are forbidden from stepping outside Kalinor’s walls and into Etheria, and face execution if caught.
Skyspear is where only the most gifted and prestigious ether users go to train. The only other place that allows those who are not dark fae into Etheria. The tower itself holds a small archive of Asani relics saved or scavenged from the Cataclysm. Though their collection is meager in comparison to Theladrieth’s hidden vault.
Briisen and Hathelion are ruled by a respective priestess who oversees the land and its commoners. Every day, at the same time, the commoners are gathered to pay tribute to the goddess Mazine.
Q’Sara is a city that lies on the edge of the Lake of Sapphires. Commoners and outsiders are forbidden from stepping food inside, as it is where the High Priestess trains her armies and builds a fleet on the lake. All those who even accidentally stumble upon the city are either never seen again or happen to forget its location.
