The City of the Four Guilds of Blackwood is the starting location for my 5e Homebrew setting. It's an expansive city, and the largest for miles by far.

Blackwood has stayed independent in the ongoing hostilities between warring nation-states and the trade generated through Blackwood supersedes any thoughts of treason a jealous lord of feeble-minded king might otherwise feel.

There is no standing army in Blackwood, instead all protection is provided by the Red Horns, a private military organization that traces its roots back millennia to honorable warfare in the service of the Great City.
