Ropes and grappling hooks are at the top of the lookout, so the Goblins have the option to abseil down the cliff face if they wanted.

Your party could be sent to deal with Goblins causing problems on the road, maybe to rescue a captured friend locked away. They could be ambushed or attacked at night when camping themselves, unaware of the danger in the cave close by. Use the map as you want and enjoy.
