Just letting all my friends know this is now in 4k.
This piece is in response to Mati's recommendation to try making monsters with stamps, and I must agree it was an awesome creative trip. The background sky I made from red lava textures, custom sky textures I uploaded, and the shapes, I owe credit to some of Victor Whitmill's paintings that I also spliced as custom textures then combined. I also used his work in my map of the Blood Vats for The Mouth of Alakash.

As for the Stygh, the piece itself describes the creature, but when I stamp dragons around my ports, this is what I'm picturing up close. As concerns the sky, no one really knows for sure why the clouds make these forms throughout the Abyss, but some have theorized the lost spirits of this realm are the cause. There are plenty of styghs in the wilds of the Infinitus, but unless you are a five star professional at taming them, take care not to get too close...
