The only settlement in Korilek to currently hold lands viable for crops, New Hope represents the future for the barren kingdom. Once known as Slaver's perch, the town was taken over by the citizens of Cliff Crack after tensions between the two settlements reached a head and resulted in Cliff Crack being destroyed. Homeless and desperate, the Cliff Crackians charged Slaver's Perch en masse and secured the settlment for themselves. After taking the town it was renamed New Hope as a symbol of the Cliff Crackians newly won future, though many jokingly refer to it as "Moist Crack". With their new port the, Cliff Crackians have begun to trade sea salt with settlements to the north in Orkala. Through aggressive efforts the people of New Hope have also begun to render the soil semi-fertile, the only ground of its like in Korilek.
