Those who dare the maze of Flint Caverns (or Undril Calorae in Elven) steel themselves for many dangers hidden in the vast shadows below, but none could prepare for the hidden gem of the DarkReach:
Lilth'Mati, the "Flaming Pearl City." Located at the bottom of a drained lake, the vast city is built high and lit with. The walk down is surprisingly peaceful, punctuated with phosphorescent plants the locals have cultivated over the centuries.
The drow of this city celebrate the work of The Weaver, incorporating spider webbing into their home decorations and clothing. Those at the farthest edge of the dried lake are a unique breed of farmers: they keep their livestock of giant spiders in nearby caverns to harvest venom and webbing. They also head into the tunnels to harvest moss and plants with hardier nutritional value, while diverting the nearby rivers to maintain a good stock of cave fish nearby. The citizens here pride themselves on their gardening skills.
Partway down the dried lake is the Weaver's Temple, next to the Loom Garden. The clergy spend most of their time penning extravagant tales of adventuring parties or of legendary heroes. During festivals, the clergy hold writing contests to see who can "weave the most extravagant tales" and gain favor with The Weaver.
At the bottom of the chamber is the remnants of the great lake, in the center of which lies the Archivist's Castle. On the south-west end of the lake is the mage academy, Sha Skai. On the east end of the lake sits the grand city itself, Lilth'Mati, lit by many of its namesakes floating above and throughout the city. The lights of Lilth'Mati can be seen all throughout the chamber.
