Arriving at the relatively wealthy town of Nese, you see wooden walls in the process of being raised around the town. As you head towards the gates, your eyes are drawn to the bluffs above the town by a flock of birds rising from the trees; what you see suggests ample reason for the new fortifications, even if it seems they have not been completed in time.
A band of raiders seems to be preparing what looks like a loud diversion against the walls in the south, with an assault to be made through the gap in the construction in the north. You estimate the raiders number roughly a score, mostly orcs, with a few human renegades and led by a shadowy figure.
The town militia could probably make such an assault costly; but you hear no sense of alarm in the town. Looking closer, the watchtower appears unmanned; the town guard on duty is instead flirting with the daughter of the local Lord at the base of the tower.
So... what do you do?
a) Head into the town, raising the alarm and leading the defense at the gap
b) Not yo problem, you don't really need supplies anyway; head off to the east
c) Orcs? Time for some fun! Attack the raider band yourselves, why wait?
d) Hmm, a wealthy town huh? See if the raiders could use a few more hands and grab your share of the loot.
e) You know, if you were to just stop here for a brief bite to eat, you could see how things play out as your entertainment... and then attack or extort the depleated victors; that's just being efficient.
f) Umm, dunno... kill everyone?
