Deep in the wildest of waters, through the thickest of mists and the most unpredictable weather, there sits an island said to look like that of a skull. A fortified city rests there, where the spirits of the damned travel, like a landmark between destinations... a waypoint for the damned.

Why the fortifications seem armed, or why the dead need smithies, is unknown- all those who have sought to identify the island's mysteries have but vanished into the very ether. The legend might be left alone, but for the rumor that soon after death, for a mere six months, one might find their loved ones on the island, preparing to leave through the crypts, forever lost to the afterlife...
