The Church of Her Golden Light That Guides To our Salvation and Redemption before her Guilded throne, or the Church of the Golden Throne for short is actually a cult sect of the conjoined Churches of the twins, Embriel (goddess of light, silver compass symbol) and Hyperiel(God of Truth, golden key symbol). The founder known as the Queen of the Golden Throne was excommunicated from all four of the official churches from which her beliefs sprang. Her church of the Golden Throne embraces the inherently dark side of the deities involved but only in the most trivial and frivolous ways, which the other four churches maintain in balance with their light.
From what we can tell they are mostly playful scamps. The Cult members appear to be devoted to the spreading of lies written in the Infernal language for the purpose of confounding the Elves and for their mastery of the spell Dancing Darkness which their members make the motes of darkness appear to be male and female exotic dancers doing lewd motions. The general public sees them as tricksters of the first order.
The Trickery appears to come from the top. We brought in an 8th echelon abjurer from the College of Mages. Look, with that much gold this woman was either a terrorist, an eccentric, an extraplanar power, a psychopath, or a schyster. and a few of those options are not ok. Well she's a schyster, and eccentric, and while the Abjurer eliminated extraplanar power, she may be a psychopath and terrorist. And she's magical. or at least someone in her inner circle is, since the gold there is a solid illusion. The gold she hands out to followers however gives off a somewhat frightening magic and turns itself into lead. It's also shockingly constant the rate at which it decays something more to investigate for later. The Hypembrien Church of the Twins has let us know that should we find any need for it they will back us and say it was them that started the investigation. The Church of Embriel of the Light has provided no comment, The Hyperielide church just laughed at us and the Church of the 12 has once again threatened the Alliance with, and I quote, "you sinful, prideful, weeds daring to bloom in Meridiel's Garden. We should have uprooted you sinners eons ago before you infested the entire continent." I just cancelled the send spell
For now we keep an eye on her, her inner circle, and her followers. We just want to watch and make sure the Queens message of trickery stays as innocuous as it seems now.
