A powerful lich has made his lair in the depths of the abyss with the help of an enigmatic entity known to the denizens of the plane as the Gray Mother. Able to change the appearance of his lair to a welcoming shelter to unwary travelers, he siphons their power before turning them into yet more sentinels in his growing undead army.
