No one knows what exactly happened a thousand years ago. Some though it was the end of days, for some, the start of another cycle, a new era.

Old stories go by describing how the ground itself starts shifting, some faster than the other. Annals of history recorded how the lands collided and separated from each other. Then, it all suddenly stopped. Although it is unknown what becomes of the other continents, the Land of the Cracked Earth saw a cataclysmic eruption of a volcano at the heart of the event following the end of the so-called "Convergence". No time records are preserved before the recorded start of the millennium, as the experience of time was greatly distorted, and all worried only for their survival.

In the end, life, and even civilisation, remains. The Convergence has not only reshaped the lands and the seas, it has also created new cultures as people far away from each other has now been brought together. As time continues, some start to wonder, even research, into what The Convergence really was...

This was an exploration on the concept of convergence and the (pseudo) theory of tectonics. I've been really into figuring out why lands shaped what they are, and wanted to create my own that looks as interesting to me as real world geography. Though, I am still no good at lore and story making.
