Here is the political map of Adria, exhibited in the parliament of the city-state of Melissa.The map itself shows the thirty-one major nations and civilizations of the continent. The gray areas represent territories that have not yet been too explored due to difficult access conditions (too cold in the south, and hundreds of barbarian tribes in the east).The outline of the map is richly decorated with allegories of values and concepts, represented in the form of statues: justice, memory, peace, commerce, fortune, daring, piety, etc.The two archers in the top corners represent the sun and the moon, each sending their beams to the earth.On the sides of the map, two scrolls are represented to describe which is to the west and to the east of the continent, respectively an infinite ocean shrouded in an eternal mist and immense mountains whose slumbers support the sky.
