The inner basin of Usthari is a volcanic wasteland, destroyed by a catastrophic eruption eons ago, the ecosystem has stabilized and adapted to the constant cycles of smog trapped in the basin and the thick layer of ash covering the land. It is now home to outlandish creatures and plants, some native to the plane of fire even. Which exists in stark contrast to Usthari's lush shores and highlands, which are home to dense forests and fertile lands.Smaller volcanoes, geysers and even hot springs are dotted around the central fissure of Usthari accompanied by highly acidic pools of water that gather there. The Usthari basin is regularly hit by outlandish weather events such as acid rain, ashfall or sulphurous fog.
