Everyone knows that the kingdom of Kauvet is a peninsula, blocked off from the rest of the world in the north by tundra and an expansive mountain range that no one has ever come back from. To the west, the Redwillow Forest stretched down the west coast, an uninhabitable forest. For the most part, no one knows anything about what may lie within around beyond these great landmarks, and trying to figure it out has gotten nothing of value.
