Talene is a bright and varied city located on a broad river near the coast. Named for the great library on top of its central hill, the City of Pages is home to scholars, sages, and students of every variety. It's a far cry from its humble village beginnings - still preserved in the walled Old Town of the northern city. Yet Talene is not without its troubles, particularly with the disparity between a wealthy aristocracy on the West Bank and poorer citizens across the river. Still the city persists, changing with the times along with any threats the outside world may throw at it.
