Castle of the Mal’akhim

During the foundation the gods employed the Mal'akh to assist with creation. When creation was complete the gods rewarded the Mal'akh by giving each immortality so they could witness the unfolding of their work throughout time.

Not content to simply observe, a group of the Mal'akh petitioned the gods to allow them to play a part in how Creation would unfold. The gods had made a pact amongst themselves that they would not enter into creation as they feared their presence would rend all they worked for asunder, so they saw this request as a means to work their will in Creation.

Granting the petitioners request, the gods gave this group, henceforth known as the Mal'akhim, the ability to move within creation and commune directly with the pantheon, but only if the Mal'akhim renounced their immortality.

Those that accepted founded a stronghold that would serve as hallowed ground. In this stronghold the Mal'akhim could easily commune with their deities, hold conclave, as well as discuss matters of great import: all without the threat of conflict or hostility. To keep their bastion safe, the Mal'akhim raised their bastion from the land into the sky. From here the Mal'akhim can go where they are needed most and bring support and supplies as needed.
