This is the third in a series of project where the question is asked: "What if every house in every stamp collection was a tavern?" This is Regional HD > Farms > Stamp 3.
Description
While this tavern doesn't have a fireplace, it remains a local staple. Commonly serving its wines to 7 to 10 area residents, though this number can get up to 14 when busy! You'll often run into important townsfolk, or, if you're lucky, a region official in this tavern. Activities often include darts, singing, or playing a guessing game called 'Scrups" that has its roots in the area. The bar is sometimes open late, serving as late as 22:00 to 23:00, but often the crowd has thinned to an individual or two that have to be ushered out by then.
The menu is incredibly unique as this small establishment has the luxury of having not one, not two, not even three, but four different wines from the area. Food must be ordered in the morning if you want it by nighttime, as none is kept in the establishment. Someone runs to town in a two-hour round trip once a day to fetch any easily accessible food.
As for accommodations, there are two options offered: a room with a bed, chest, and desk, or a padded mat on the floor of a loft that would overlook the tavern if hay bales weren't in the way. However, this tavern is often busy, and as such the rooms are often occupied. If you have the coin, a current patron may be "convinced" to move to the loft by the tavernkeep. The prices for a loft stay are always negotiable, but never free, and for a room, still fairly cheap. Most visitors don't stay long, at most 4 days.
Technical
This uses two techniques to make the lighting look dynamic: going in and individually changing shadows for every object, and by exporting 3 different filters of the asset-map, then importing those as textures for brushes and doing a final painting of various light levels. Just changing the individual shadows makes the scene look so much more interesting to look at. Once again, HSBC was used to match wood, stone, and hay color.
