Drendil (with legend)

The river cuts through the land, starting with two smaller waterfalls in the north and running south splitting the rounded city in two, connected with 6 bridges. The location of the city, at the end of the river before the waterfalls, makes it easy to defend from water due to large ships only able to arrive from the south. With 1800+ residential buildings Drendil houses about 15 000 people.

The three sections divide the classes by thick walls and gates, only letting through the higher class and nobility to the heart of the city. Outside the center of the city the inner circle surrounds it and houses the middle class, craftsmen, artisans, tradesmen, military, and scholars. In the east part of the inner circle a canal is dug, running like a half circle around the inner wall connected to the river. The last, outer circle of the city hosts the lower class and common people. Mostly consisting of crude, tight residential buildings but sticking out from the pale and simple buildings are the great cathedral towering up as one of the larger buildings in the city.

Outside the city walls the fields cover most of the flat areas between the wooded hills. Outside the southern gate the large colosseum dwarfs the buildings around.
