The Infernopolis of Necrosys

One of my first solid watercolor cities. It was a neat project to make a regional map of my larger one to transform it into this.

The port of Necrosys is one of the largest in the Central Infernum Infinitus, exporting power stones and spirit crystals and importing sulfur weed, worm bark and wood frequently. Although mortals and devils may disagree on concepts of beauty, the locals agree that lord Beleth's sense of architectural magnificence is unmatched. Since the end of the angelic occupation, there were so many bodies of dead angels everywhere, and so many structures needing renovation that Beleth had the novel idea to pave all the streets of every main city in the Necrocosm with their bones. His innovation with bone craft is much older than that of course, his bone temples all evidence of this, but the notion was accepted by the other Infernal Masters, and the architectural concept was borrowed by many parts of the Central Infernum Infinitus. However Necrosys and the other cities of the Necrocosm contain the most bones used as they form everything from the streets to the walls, its massive pillars and arches crafted by the most skilled masons in all the realm. After Necrosys was thus renovated, all the capitals including Pandemonium, Arachnopolis, Lust, The War Zone, Agony, and Phallus, whom all had the largest amount of angel corpses laying about, were paved and rebuilt this way. Even some smaller cities like Los Hymen in Lilith's Den and Madeskaryan in the Umbra Pit were redone with the same design. Now that the angelic occupation is over and Azathoth plans a retaliation, moreover that since the trade of angel wings is legal again under His Infernal Majesty, Beleth along with the other Infernal Masters are planning for a big boom in business.
