The concept is that there are several doorways, all of them locked expect for the one the party uses to enter the room. The only stand out object is a statue standing in the centre of the room. Blow the statue reads an inscription - "With my gaze, the path will be clear"

Any physical interaction with the statue causes it to attack for one round before falling still again. Once its gaze leaves a doorway, that entrance is immediately sealed off.
