A colonial nation in the midst of conquering the New World is vanquished in a single night during the cataclysm known as the World-Sundering. A century later, the remnants of the Gnydian people still cling to life on the frontier, desperate in their survival amidst savage creatures, ruthless outlaws, and a tentative peace with indigenous neighbours. Malice stirs in the shadows of the world, threatening another World-Sundering and stopping at nothing to ensure its dark machinations are fulfilled.
