Situated on two islands in the river Svellt, Lowangen is the trade hub for the Northern Realms and the Orc Steppes. The Free City has attracted a variety of communities besides the predominant humans and hosts a sizeable Elven and also Dwarvish population. Commerce thrives under the vigilant gaze of the magistrate. The various guilds ensure the high quality of craftsmanship the city is famous for. With its two colleges of magic, the city is renowned for the Lowangen transmuters as well as being infamous for the dark arts that are being practiced at the ominous Hall of Might. Its defences have been tested again and again by marauding Orcish hordes, but so far no one has penetrated the city-walls.

This version of the map incorporates the surrounding area including the famed Svellt Drafthorse breeders, Lowangen cemetery, Temple of the God of the Hunt and the villages Finsternanger, Buchenbach and Stutenbruch.
