Inspired by what modern archeologists believe are the basic floor plans of many early- to middle-Iron Age Viking longhouses. Often they were where prominent branches of a tribal or family members dwelled together under one roof.

The main difference in design is that I have added a small loft/second floor for each unit, for either storage or the kids the sleep in.
