Made using the Inkarnate Free version. I had to improvise due to the limited stamps and such, and since the free version only has one color for rugs (red), I just added that to the plot. Anyways, so here it is: The Red Rug Inn!
Ol' Red, as the inn is commonly known by the locals, has a long history of being one of the homeliest, most welcoming taverns in all of the Hollows . Known for its iconic red carpets (along with the other matching furnishings) and built entirely out of wood, save the fireplaces, basement, and cobblestone pantry floors, the inn gives off a cozy, cheery, cabin-like feeling. The inn has seen many an age of darkness and despair. However, it has survived these challenging times by remembering to enjoy the simple things in life, such as smelling the roses.
What's on the Menu? The Red Rug Inn is well-known for it's famous Rosehip tea and complimentary breakfasts. Since its start, the modest inn has made itself a reputation for having the finest herbal brews this side of the Willowood Mountains, most of which are created from the wild rose bushes that grow right on the property. Steeped long enough so you can taste the calming sweetness of the spring flowers, the tea alone is certainly worth your time and money.
Who Operates? Willice Wilding's family has owned and run the inn for as long as anyone can remember. Inherited from his late father, Willice resides in the inn with his charming wife, Matilda, who is responsible for making sure the inn is always ship shape. Willice is not the type of fellow who is meant to run a business, but because he was the youngest son he became responsible for it anyhow, much to his (and his family's) dismay. He also operates the ferry that carries travelers to and fro across the Everglow River; a job he much more prefers and is suited for.
Who Hangs Around? The inn is a popular hang-out for a variety of different types of people including travelers, traders, fishermen from the West, scouts, and much more. Despite the diversity of characters that mingle within The Red Rug's walls, the inn is surprisingly crime and mischief-free. Not much excitement happens, aside from the rare occasion of a party coming into town. Or, more common, the humorous sight of an innocent, unsuspecting customer being burned by Matilda's hotcakes.
However, lately, since the wind has changed, a few shady characters have been lodging at the inn, one of whom has been making quite the ruckus in one of the cells. Things moving at night...heavy things, thudding across the worn wooden floors. But as usual, Mr. Wilding minds his own business, although Matilda insists that it IS his buisness.
