"Welcome to the Festival of Ash Fall Traveler! You come to this fair city in fortuitous times indeed if you are new to the Infernum Infinitus, for this is a time of celebration and merriment. Every year, the volcano several islands over known as the Heart of Darkness erupts a little bit and sends clouds of ash to every continent around it, including the Thorn Garden, and the community here takes the festival very seriously. First of all, if you have been to Madeskaryan, you will notice Phallus has all the new lighting power of Alakash's Infernopolis of Agony, his red lightning bulbs of electricity. These now light the streets every night, but tonight, all the city has lit hellfire pitch braziers in honor of the Heart of Darkness. This may seem strange to a newcomer, but the Thorn Garden Succubae believe one day the volcano will erupt and destroy many islands around it with its sheer force, and that it is a supreme power in its own right. So the locals, every year when it spews ash, light hellfire braziers to ward the energy of the volcano's wrath away from Phallus. This has been a tradition almost since there have been settlers here, so if this is your first time here, grab a glass of blood wine, take a roll of sulfur weed, and relax! You may notice many people on rooftops having sick house parties, and don't think you would be intruding if you dropped by, everyone is conglomerating. Also, all the markets and big sites in the city are welcoming visitors, so go and see all the temples, the statues, the establishments and facilities you want, all for absolutely free! If you have the time, go to the Desdemadri Coliseum and see the massive gladiator competitions, they are really worth it!"
